My aim is to pave the way to bring AI into healthcare by utilizing the highest scientific standards.
Guy is a computer scientist specializing in machine learning and deep learning techniques for biomedical data analysis (medical images, physiological signals, electronic health records). His research at KI focuses on data-driven questions in the domains of pregnancy, maternity, childbirth, and early childhood.
Previously, he worked for 25 years in R&D of innovative algorithms, software, systems, and technologies for various applications. Before joining KI, Guy was a research staff member at IBM’s Haifa Research Lab, where he led an AI research project in the breast imaging domain. Prior to that, he was a research associate in the Department of Radiation and Imaging Physics at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. He was also the chief technologist of Biological Signal Processing, an Israeli start-up that developed innovative signal processing technologies for cardiovascular diagnostics.
Guy holds a PhD and MSc (cum laude) in computer science from Tel Aviv University and a BSc (cum laude) in computer science from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology.
Guy has a passion for the written word, with a special interest in poetry. His debut book, "Yellowstone", was recently published. He is also a proud father to three lovely teenagers (and one sweet dog).
