KI Research Institute was established as non-profit research institute with the aim to promote positive impact on public health. Our vision is to promote data-driven healthcare by leading state-of-the-art research in computational health and delivering its insights and tools to decision-makers in healthcare organizations and government agencies. This is our first report, describing the work that we do and several selected projects that created impact in their field. We look forward to making this a frequent update on our efforts and impactful solutions.

The report describing trends of developmental milestone attainment in Israeli children is based on 1,002,700 children ages birth until 6 years with 4,441,689 developmental visits between the years 2016 and 2020. It shows national trends of child development in the gross motor, fine motor, language and social domains, and could highlight subgroups in need for intervention. Annual report of these trends may also help assess the effectiveness of intervention programs in an attempt to maximize the developmental potential of children in Israel.

The Israeli developmental scale is based on over 3.5 million developmental examinations performed on approximately 650,000 children in Israel between the years 2014-2020. It was developed by a collaborative research team from KI research Institute, the Ministry of Health and the TIMNA – the big data platform of the Israeli MOH.
