MSc, Researcher
I work to integrate my analytical skills, research experience, and biomedical knowledge to influence health and well-being.
As a researcher at KI research institute, Irena is involved primarily in projects related to complications in pregnancy and childbirth; however, she also works on knowledge management.
Previously, Irena was a clinical researcher on an epileptic seizure prediction project at Medial Research, a private company that applies machine learning methodologies on clinical data. Before Medial, she was a system engineer at Opticul Diagnostics, an in-vitro diagnostics device company targeting easy and low-cost microorganism identification based on absorption spectroscopy (without the use of reagents).
Irena received her MSc and BSc in biomedical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University.
A mom of two kids and one cat, Irena loves her quiet workout time, whether she is running or lifting weights. Her recent discovery that baking is a calming and fun activity, has led to adventurous recipes and tasty baked goods.
