PhD, Researcher
I aim to personalize, elevate, and enhance the Endometriosis patient / provider healthcare experience, diagnosis and disease management using algorithmic data-driven technology
Tamar is a healthcare researcher, using her specialization in statistical analysis, mathematical and numerical modeling to study symptoms and behaviors in women’s health, specifically patients suffering from Endometriosis.
Before joining KI, Tamar was a postdoctoral research associate and a research scientist at New York University, in Manhattan, NY. In her work, she tackled fundamental questions related to materials design and new renewable energy technologies using a combination of quantum chemistry and molecular simulation methodologies. Her research focused on exploring diffusion patterns of hydroxide/hydronium ions using nano-confined geometries with the aim of determining of a set of design rules for creating new anion/proton exchange membranes with high ion conductivity for use in emerging fuel cell technologies. During her PhD at Tel Aviv University, she developed a new approach for simulating electron dynamics in open quantum systems based on real space and energy domain representations, studying transient effects and transport mechanisms in molecular electronic devices, in the time domain.
Tamar obtained her PhD in Theoretical Chemistry as part of a joint project between Tel Aviv University and the Weizmann Institute, an MSc (cum laude) in Theoretical Chemistry from Tel Aviv University, and a BSc (cum laude) in Chemistry and Film and Television from Tel Aviv University.
Tamar cares for animal rights, and as a hobby, she helps to train dogs using positive reinforcement methods. She is a theater enthusiast and often frequents musical theatres, the cinema, and immersive video art museums.
